Helly Hansen Extends HKR Partnership Until 2030

02.11.2026

Whether it’s snowfall, freezing temperatures or glorious sunshine, the Hahnenkamm Races place significant demands not only on the world’s best ski racers but also on the many people working behind the scenes to ensure the event runs smoothly. Helly Hansen has supported them since 2019, and the successful partnership with the Norwegian company has now been extended to the end of 2030.

Long before the first racers launch from the start gate to hurtle down the Streif or Ganslern racecourses, the Hahnenkamm is a hive of activity. Courses are prepared and secured, safety nets installed, infrastructure put in place, and countless organisational tasks completed. For the Kitzbühel Ski Club’s staff, this often means working for hours on end in all kinds of weather.

The demands on their equipment are considerable. Since 2019, the KSC has relied on Helly Hansen’s functional, weather-resistant clothing. Founded in Norway in 1877, the company has decades of experience developing technical outdoor apparel and maintains strong ties to alpine skiing.

Under this newly agreed extension, Helly Hansen will remain the official clothing supplier for the Hahnenkamm Races for a further four race years. The partnership includes supplying apparel to key officials, the Organising Committee and the team at Weirather-Wenzel & Partner (WWP), the races’ marketing partner.

“Preparing for and staging the Hahnenkamm Races is a tremendous team effort every year. It requires experience, well-established procedures, and partners you can rely on. Helly Hansen understands our requirements and has proved to be an exceptionally reliable partner since 2019. We are therefore delighted to continue this successful collaboration through to 2030,” says Michael Huber, Chairman of the Hahnenkamm Races Organising Committee.

The extension was officially announced on 29 October at the new Helly Hansen store in Munich. In addition to KSC President Michael Huber, Christian Egele (WWP) and Michael Uhl (Helly Hansen), three Norwegian World Cup stars were also in attendance: Henrik Kristoffersen, Timon Haugan and Thea Louise Stjernesund. A panel discussion focused not only on the long-standing partnership but also the upcoming World Cup season and the 2027 Hahnenkamm Races.

New Fan Collection

Fans will also benefit from the ongoing partnership, with a new joint merchandise collection planned for the 2027 Hahnenkamm Races. This will bring the connection between the renowned Norwegian brand and one of alpine skiing's most prestigious events to life beyond the racecourses.

The partnership between Helly Hansen, the Kitzbühel Ski Club and Weirather-Wenzel & Partner is therefore secured for years to come, providing another vital element in the successful staging of the Hahnenkamm Races.
